Where does the directory's data come from?

Only from official bulk data: DPH's eLicense exports on CT Open Data (retrieved October 31, 2026), DPH's 2025 Nursing Facility Registry, DPH's posted regulatory action orders, and CMS's provider data; we do not use aggregator listings, operator marketing or reviews.

Every listing page carries a “Source” line with the data date. Facility pages exist for every active ALSA and every CMS-certified nursing home; residential care homes, home health agencies and hospices appear as roster rows.

How do I use the listing pages?

Each listing page has a search box and filters for town and license type (and CMS rating for nursing homes), and every column sorts when you click its heading, so you can, for example, list every Stamford nursing home by private-room rate.

What doesn't Connecticut publish that families would want?

Connecticut does not publish assisted living inspection reports, a list of approved dementia special care units, bed or unit counts for assisted living communities, or bed counts for residential care homes, so the directory cannot show them.

For nursing homes the gap is smaller: CMS publishes inspection results and staffing, and DPH's registry adds rates and payer mix. For everything else, the questions on each facility page are designed to fill the gap in person.
